Course Focus
Passing the exams– the Course focuses primarily on the CySEC study guide for the certification of persons providing Investment Services and employed by Cypriot Investment Firms, Credit Institutions, Management Companies and Investment Companies of Variable Capital, which is a requirement for the provision of investment services in Cyprus

Preparation Material (based on the new syllabus)
All participants (Basic/Advanced) will receive the EIMF preparation booklets that include the presentation notes, glossary of all major terms and revision questions with answers and references. In addition, participants will receive access to 7 sets of online mock exams with a total of 490 practice questions for the Advanced exam, while participants for the Basic exam will receive access to 3 sets of online mock exams with a total of 150 practice questions.
Course Content and Examinations
The assessment structure of the Advanced Certification is a 90-minute examination consisting of 70 multiple choice questions, while the structure of the Basic Certification is a 60-minute examination consisting of 50 multiple choice questions.

Registration Procedure for Examinations
In order to register for the CySEC Basic/Advanced examinations, prospective candidates are required to book their exam date through the CySEC website.
Examination Fees
In order to take the examinations, interested individuals are required to pay the CySEC examination fees currently, €200 to take the Basic Examination or €300 to take the Advanced Examination.
Examination Results
Upon completion of the examination, candidates will be notified immediately whether they have passed, and the detailed results of the examination will be sent by email at a later stage.

Following the examination, successful candidates need to complete the CySEC Registration Form and send it to certifications@cysec.gov.cy in order to become registered in the CySEC Public Registry of Certified Persons. Registration is valid for one year.
CPD Recognition
This programme may be approved for up to 32 CPD units in Financial Regulation. Eligibility criteria and CPD Units are verified directly by your association, regulator or other bodies which you hold membership.
This training course may be approved as an external activity under the new ACAMS recertification category ”non-ACAMS credits” for up to 32 CPD units. Eligibility criteria and CPD Units are verified directly by the Association of Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS). A Self-Study Preference (Advance, Basic)
For those who are unable to attend a course and prefer to self-study, the EIMF offers the opportunity to purchase seven (7) sets of online mock exams that provide a total of 490 practice questions for the Advanced exam, and three (3) sets of online mock exams, that provide a total of 150 questions for the Basic exam.

Panayiotis Antoniou is a Managing Director at the Global Risk Management and Prudential department of Complyport. He is a professional with 25 years experience in the Financial Sector. He is currently the managing Director of Complyport Global Risk Management and Prudential, a large Advisory Group specialising in prudential risk and Compliance matters for Banks, Investment Firms, Investment Funds and Payment Institutions. Panayiotis is a holder of CySEC’s AML and Advanced Certificates, a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), a Chartered MCSI at the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI), a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is also a HRDA accredited trainer. Panayiotis holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from State University of New York, USA, a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Virginia Tech, USA as a Fulbright Scholar, a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s in Public Sector Management (MPSM).

The Human Resource Development Authority (HRDA) of Cyprus is a semi-government governmental organisation that supports the development of workforce skills through training and development initiatives. Eligible training programmes approved by the HRDA may qualify for a subsidy, reducing the participation cost for eligible organisations and individuals, subject to the HRDA's terms and conditions.
